Metric is a Canadian indie rock band that have been together since 1998. Front Woman Emily Haines lyrics are genuine and rich and sing over a mix of post-punk drums, guitar & bass and new wave synth that is simply delectable.
Their latest album “Fantasies” is worth a definite listen and two of the videos below (Sick Muse and Stadium Love) are off that record. Also worth a minute of your time is the last video that shows a fun behind the scenes view of Metric’s life while touring in Australia in 2009.
Lastly, can we all take a moment to appreciate how awesome Emily Haines style is. Total rock angel.

A wonderful video for Austin band Quiet Company‘s
Its Better To Spend Money Like There’s No Tomorrow Than Spend Tonight Like There’s No Money
The song itself is uber awesome and the human stop motion is crafty and spunky. & I love how Quiet Company harnesses the garage sound of Austin with a crisp edge that keeps embraces freshness without sounding overly youthful and poppy.
